Reinforcement and control erosion system in a slope

Project:

Reinforcement and control erosion system in a slope using an ACE GG-I geogrids and geocell.

Place:

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Problem:

Within a residential zone there was a slope that was not mechanically stable and that did not have natural vegetation. By consequence it was a slope that did not have any type of protection against the erosion. It was tried to use a system that could give solution at the same time to both problems, to have finished aesthetic and a superficial protection with controlled vegetation.

Solution:

The best option was to use one an ACE GG 60-I reinforcement geogrid so that it gave the structural stability to the slope. Later one settled superficially an EGA 30 geocell which was stuffed with vegetal earth and other plants. This vegetation provided aesthetic finishing to the slope.
