Retaining wall for a platform in a commercial center

Project:

Retaining wall with finished of mortar cement-sand

Place:

Tampico, Tamaulipas.

Problem:

A construction company needed to build a retaining wall to save an unevenness of 4 meters of height to get a platform that worked to support a departmental store.

Solution:

The construction was done with an ACE GG 60-I geogrid to support the retaining walls of the platform. It was applied to the wall finished with a mixture done with cement and sand to it which was placed on one the wall of the walls. A series of tubes within the embankment was settled so that they served like system of drainage to avoid the hydrostatic pressure inside the wall.
