Erosion control system in a natural slope

Problem:

With in the land where it was carried out for the construction of a house, a parking area demanded to make earthworks to provide a horizontal platform. A 4 m slope was created by consequence of these works. This slope required of protection against erosion. In the high zone of Valle de Bravo some winds and rain appear, which when hitting the surface of the slopes without protection, generates landslides and drag superficial material. These effects to future could generate problems of local stability in this slope.

Solution:

The erosion control system was solved by the use of EGA 30 geocell, which was settled in the natural slope in the entire surface. The geocell was filled up with own vegetal soil of the locality. The cells keeps vegetal soil perfectly thus to be able to lodge the vegetation. In himself, the one was wild grass that grew within geocell. With this solution the slope gets a great protection and at the same time a pleasant view from the main entrance of the house was obtained.
