Control erosion system for a steep slope using Ega 30 geocell.

Problem:

In Cabo Baja California Sur was planned the construction of a automotive agency on Transpeninsular highway between the cities of San José of the Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The area that was destined to this construction had many slopes. These slopes were eroded by the wind effects and impact of drops of rain that appear on due to their proximity with the sea. These slopes will need the superficial protection before the erosive effects. The product had to be durable and cheap.

Solution:

This project was solved by means of EGA 30 geocell. The geocell was placed in entire slope surface. The advantage that has geocell opposed to other protection element is that it can be filled with granular material as gravel or tezontle. The geocell was placed in entire slope and filled with gravel of different colors. This solution gave to the slope a better and architectural view with a low costs.
