Drainage for Soil-cement retailing wall |
Project:Drainage for a retaining wall made of soil-cement mixture in Bosque Real. Place:Huixquilucan, Estado de México. Problem:“Bosque Real” is a new residential area near to Mexico City. At this time it is still under construction. Because of the rough topography it was required the construction of many soil-cement walls to get the road project height. All the new retaining walls will need a suitable drainage system instead of the traditional drainage made by gravel. The constructor needed a product with a low price in order to decrease costs but to increase the efficiency of the drainage system. Solution:Once soil-cement retaining walls were finished, they were ready to receive the drainage system. The proposed product was a GMG 512 geocomposite that was placed at the back of every retaining wall such as a new drainage system. This material diminishes the times of work and costs. The GMG 512 geocomposite has an easy installation, avoiding the purchase of granular material and the manual labor to install it. The flow caught by the nucleus of the geocomposite is conducted to a collector with of a common pvc pipe and leads the water directly to a projected exit.. Return to Representative Works >>>
